I hope all my whining about parenting doesn't give you the wrong impression. As you said, even with the rough spots, it is worthwhile. In the end. Eventually. So I hope.

enh.

the lymph nodes and glands are not as swollen, whcih is good, but the aches and pains are still there. however, full treatment is a long-term mission, especially after relapse.

plus i discovered the sun-sensitizing effects of the antibiotics on vacation....makes your skin feel like it's burning from within. however, i am waging counter-war with probiotics and some vitamin D and anti-nausea pills, which help me feel zippier.

tmi. i am confident that it will eventually succeed and determined to stick it out (bloodwork included!!!).

i admire all your work at mothering! it sounds pretty rough, but quite worthwhile. i'm gradually starting to look forward to having kids and becoming a stay-at-home mom in another year or so.

Laura, speaking of daily prayers, how is your health? Is the new medication helping? I must confess that I am not disciplined enough to pray every day, but I do pray for you when I think of it!

Sunrise, I'm sure part of Joy's problems are baby-related--she tends to get at her fussiest just when Grace is fussing, too (O lovely for me!). But a lot of what she is doing she has always done when her teeth have been hurting, so I think it's probably a combination of the two--as well as a little toddler boundary-testing, too.

Sometimes I think God is allowing us to endure all this just to reinforce our decision to not have any more than two children! I know I certainly can't imagine adding another one to the mix.

Have you considered that Joy's attitude may also be a result of Grace's arrival?

I know for us, Peanut has been far more whiny, rebellious and just plain pain in the tush since about a week after Deuce got here. Some of it is normal two-year-old stuff, some of the issue is my patience stretched thinner than it used to be, but there is definitely some "acting out" going on.

So...sin is abounding that grace may abound all the more, lol. We are cracking down on discipline b/c we don't want him thinking that he can get away with stuff just because the baby is distracting us, but at the same time we are trying to be extra affectionate, understanding, and encouraging with him. Which is not easy. But neither, I imagine, is it easy to have your sweet life suddenly invaded by this new creature who bumps you out of your spotlight.

hurrah for Ethan and Elizabeth, they're the cutest couple. so happy for them. we have another wedding to attend next weekend.

not sure what i can do for Canada Day but i have to do something, my boss teases me about being Canadian so i gotta live it up.
